Image Notes
In the Spirit of the Grand Tetons, I explore the majesty of the mountains in this beautiful national park. The sun is setting, and a bull moose slowly wanders through the waters of a shallow pond. His antlers spread massively from his head providing a regal essence to the large beast, the year-old rack acting as his crown. It is no mystery why the moose is sometimes called the “Emperor of the North.” The moose cow and her calve feed at the water’s shore enjoying the last of the green grasses and roots the summer and fall so abundantly provide. In the distance we see both bison and elk also enjoying the serenity of these last minutes of daylight. All is well in these woods. I have visited the Tetons and have seen moose in the wild for myself, there, and on a different trip to Alaska. They are an impressive animal to view first-hand both because of their size and the nonchalant indifference to the incursions of man. If opportunity allows visit the north and marvel this royalty in their realm. And, as always, thank you for sharing my adventures in art.
